Peaks & Plains celebrates pride 🏳🌈
We want to support both our LGBTQ+ customers and our LGBTQ+ staff. So, we invited Macclesfield Pride to come and give staff a talk about their experiences, pride, and why this is so important to our local community.
On June 30th - the last day of international pride month - we invited staff to:
- wear their brightest colours
- change their background on Microsoft Teams
- join an online talk run by Macclesfield Pride
Rachel Marsland, our Customer Voice Manager, explains that this is because:
We wanted to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, so we made sure that we ran our own 'Peaks & Plains Pride Day' on June 30th. This meant that we could celebrate pride - and support our customers and staff - in a Covid-secure way on Microsoft Teams
